1. Agreement

These Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and Pip. By downloading, accessing, or using the Pip app, website, or related services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Pip.

2. Who can use Pip

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pip. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Pip only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for using Pip in a way that follows these Terms and all laws that apply to you.

3. Wellness only

Pip provides short meditations, calming prompts, audio, and related wellness content. Pip does not provide therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, or emergency services.

Do not ignore professional advice or delay getting help because of something in Pip. If you have a medical, mental health, legal, or safety concern, speak with a qualified professional.

Pip is not designed for emergencies. If you are in danger or may hurt yourself or someone else, call emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988.

4. App license

Subject to these Terms, Pip grants you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, noncommercial wellness use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, decompile, attempt to extract source code from, or create derivative works based on Pip, except where the law does not allow us to restrict that activity.

5. Subscriptions and Apple billing

Pip may offer free trials, paid subscriptions, or other paid features. If you subscribe through the App Store, Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processing under your Apple ID and Apple's terms.

Unless cancelled through your Apple ID settings before the end of the current period, subscriptions may renew automatically. Deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription.

Prices, trial lengths, and subscription features may change. We will provide notice where required by law or platform rules.

6. Your content

You may type personal words, situations, emotions, or relationship details into Pip. You keep any rights you have in that content.

You grant Pip permission to process, transmit, store, display, and use your content only as needed to provide and improve the app, generate and deliver meditations, maintain safety and security, provide support, comply with law, and as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit content that violates the rights of others, is unlawful, or that you do not have permission to provide.

7. Generated content

Pip may use AI and other automated systems to generate meditation text, audio, suggestions, or labels. Generated content can be imperfect, incomplete, or not appropriate for every situation.

You are responsible for deciding whether a generated meditation is appropriate for you. Do not rely on Pip for professional advice, crisis support, diagnosis, treatment, or decisions with serious consequences.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Pip for emergencies, crisis response, or to diagnose or treat a condition;
  • use Pip in a way that violates law or another person's rights;
  • try to access Pip's systems without permission;
  • interfere with, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the app or website;
  • use Pip to generate unlawful, abusive, exploitative, harassing, or harmful content;
  • misrepresent your relationship with Pip or copy Pip's branding without permission.

9. Ownership

Pip, including the app, website, design, software, prompts, audio, brand, mascot, names, logos, and other content, is owned by Pip or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Pip or its content to you. You may use Pip only as allowed by these Terms.

10. Apple terms

If you download Pip from the App Store, Apple's standard end user license agreement applies unless Apple shows a custom license for Pip. These Terms supplement Apple's terms and do not limit any rights you have under Apple's standard terms or applicable law.

Pip, not Apple, is responsible for the app, support, content, maintenance, and claims relating to Pip, except where Apple is responsible under its own terms or applicable law.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section. After you accept these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce this section against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11. Third-party services

Pip may rely on third-party services, including hosting, AI model providers, voice providers, analytics, crash reporting, support tools, and Apple platform services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Pip may also link to websites or resources we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or policies.

12. Changes and termination

We may update Pip or these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice as appropriate. Your continued use of Pip after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access to Pip if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or used Pip unlawfully. You may stop using Pip at any time.

13. Disclaimers and liability

Pip is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pip disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pip will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or service interruption.

Some laws do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Governing law

Unless applicable consumer protection law requires a different result, these Terms will be interpreted under the laws of the jurisdiction where the company that publishes Pip is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules.
